"...Fighting has broken out all over the city, it seems that a rebel group of Immortal monsters has attacked an office building on the corner of fifth and Broadway..." Shada's ears twitched, listening to the television as she pawed through the cabinets looking for something to do.
"Eh? What's this? Fighting..." She leaned over the couch next to Alistor, who glanced at her once before turning back to the television.
"Yea... Immortals and Humans. Again. Seems like history is repeating itself."
"Tch... It was bound to, I mean we get bored just as much easy as Mortals, if not easier." She shrugged. "But, I was really hoping to be dead before this started again." She sighed. "Ah well."
"You were hoping to be dead?"
"Well, I am over twenty five thousand years old, Luv." She said, eying him.
"How do you figure? That would mean you were here before the dinosaurs."
"Well, you've obviously been through the portal since I met you close to my homelands, so I can say this and it'll make sense to you. Time flows a bit differently here than it does there. I might be young here, but I'm beyond ancient there. Understand?"
"Not even a little bit." She licked her lips and sighed.
"Look, all I can tell you is my time flows differently than it does here. YOU would be considered old there, and you're younger than I am." She stood up fully, tail twitching at the end. "Anyways, I hope that nothing comes of this, I'd hate to have to go back to fighting."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I hope you never find out, Al, I really do." She said, quietly. She didn't wish the Revs on anyone...well... except maybe Max, but he was dead, so it didn't matter anymore. Then again, she would hate that son of a bitch for the rest of her life.
Growling to herself, she went back to what she had been doing before the television had captured her attention, which was looking for something to occupy her time. Sitting around was not something she was particularly good at, and she would go stir-crazy if she didn't find at least something. And when that was all she could find, she sat down in the middle of the kitchen and started casting, the little illusions dancing about the kitchen floor with relish. She wiggled her fingers like a puppet master, making the little creatures move about; a smile graced her lips, as she watched them, amused.
So when that got boring, she finally gave in and sat down on the other side of the couch and watched television with Alistor.
