She had never slept so soundly in her life. It felt strange to know she was back at Hellfire Castle, with the very man she loathed. It pained her to know that, and to be honest, she plotted her next escape.
She felt sick to her stomach. She had done something no other Baninae in the history of her Race had ever done: willingly torture and kill someone for revenge. It wasn't done, it just wasn't. To make matters worse, she didn't want to be here, but Azazel watched her like a hawk. It was as if he expected her to break or something, doting on her hand and foot. She hated it, and she hated him.
Something was wrong with her, though. Something bad. For some reason, she would black out and lose hours out of the day. She couldn't account for her whereabouts during those times, but she always found herself in her room, in the shower. It never failed. And it had come about after she had killed Lief.
Liir was silent during this time, and it made Shada wonder what happened. Had the dark force that had driven her to torture Lief driven the Succubus from her? Or had she been imagining her in the first place? Logic told her that the second question couldn't be true, not by a long shot. She had only known of Liir's existence for a short period, and she had told her that she was the reason she had lived through all of the things that had happened thus far in their life. Shada was inclined to believe her.
The odd thing was, every time she woke in the shower, a new person seemed to follow her around and beg her to take them again. Again implied that she had done it in the first place, and she hadn't. And then there would be an argument, like always and she would storm away before she hurt someone. She didn't like what was happening, but she couldn't explain it. She sat down on her bed and placed her face into her hands.
Her ears caught the sound of a Seam Ripping, and she lifted her head to see Lilith, looking like she had been through Hell, no pun intended, and back.
"What happened to you?" She said, standing quickly and rushing toward her. Lilith was bleeding heavily, and her breathing was shallow and uneven. But what concerned Shada the most was the war-torn look on her sister's face.
"We...lost, Nightshade. Hell is lost to us and Father..."
"What about Father?" Shada said quickly, cutting her sister off. She feared the answer she would get.
"He's dead, and it's all your fault!" She stood there, shell shocked for a long time before the scream erupted from her throat.
"NOOO!" She screamed. That wasn't right, he wasn't dead! He wasn't dead! There was no way he was dead! He was a God, for Nyx's sake! She backed away from her sister. "You're lying."
"No....Father died with your name on his lips. Our enemy now knows you exist and he will come for you. He will kill you and there is no hope. You are the last." She coughed up some blood and fell to the ground. "You...are the last.." Shada went to her, tears in her eyes.
"Lilith, hold on! Hold on!" She tried to heal her, to no avail. "Haiichii! Haiichii! Haiichii! Dammit, don't die on me! Haiichii!!" It was too late. Lilith Ellorie Seraphina De Embrell was dead.
Shada's scream of pain echoed throughout the castle, bursting the windows on every floor.
